Now Hiring: Grants Assistant

Lake Region Arts Council is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grants Assistant to support our grantmaking work across nine counties in west central Minnesota. This is a part-time position at 8 hours per week, working closely with the Grants Manager.

LRAC convenes monthly grant evaluation panels from September through June, bringing together board members to evaluate applications from artists and arts organizations throughout the region. The Grants Assistant plays an essential supporting role in making those panels run smoothly.

Part-time · 8 hours per week · $24/hour

Responsibilities

• Communicate with grant evaluation panelists before and after monthly review meetings

• Assist with organizing and preparing for grant review meetings

• Document meeting processes and maintain accurate records

• Collect and track program data

• Work closely with the Grants Manager on related tasks as assigned

Desired qualifications

• Trustworthy and discreet — grant review processes involve confidential information

• Strong attention to detail and process

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Comfortable with technology, including email, spreadsheets, and online tools

• Relevant experience in an office setting

Schedule

This position is 8 hours per week with a flexible schedule. Weekday hours are preferred. The position involves occasional evening meetings during the grant review season (September–June). Training is on-the-job. Work is primarily in-office; remote arrangements may be considered.
