Call for Art:

What is Home?

Calling all artists of all disciplines 2D and 3D artwork for the next juried exhibition at Lake Region Arts Council Main Gallery titled, “What is Home”.

Theme for Art Call: “What is Home?”

Artists are asked to create work that defines the concept of “Home” for them. This could be a place, a time, or a feeling. This will be a juried exhibit of work by artists living in the LRAC 9 county region.

  • Call for Art released Monday, October 7th, 2024.

  • Deadline to Apply is Monday, October 28th, 2024 by 5PM.

  • Selected artists will be notified by Thursday, November 7th, 2024.

  • Exhibition will run January 13th to March 13th, 2025.

  • Opening Reception will be held Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 - 5:30-7PM.

  • Drop off artwork at the LRAC Gallery will be Monday – Wednesday, January 6th - January 8th, 2025 between 9am-3pm.

  • Pick up of artwork will be Monday – Wednesday, March -17th - 19th, 2025 9am – 3pm.

Details for call for art: Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of art for consideration.

This call is open to all artists living in the 9 counties that Lake Region Arts Council serves: Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse and Wilkin in west central Minnesota.

All Artwork needs to be framed and/or ready to hang for 2D pieces with hanging wire. We have pedestals for 3D artwork. Please fill out the online application located on the LRAC Gallery website page.
