Individual Grants

Lake Region Arts Council offers the following grants for individuals. Click on the links to read the grant guidelines.

Each grant program has its own guidelines, as well as applicant and project eligibility criteria. Please click the links for resources to help you complete each grant.

LRAC offers grants for artists at all career stages.

Artist Quick Start:

The Artist Quick Start Grant is a $1,000 grant for activities and projects resulting in career development and artistic achievement. Individual artists in the LRAC nine-county region may apply in all disciplines, including literary, music, performance, and visual arts disciplines.


Career Development:

The Career Development Grant is a $2,000 grant for activities and projects resulting in career development and artistic achievement. Individual artists in the LRAC nine-county region may apply in all disciplines, including literary, music, performance, and visual arts disciplines.


LRAC Fellowship:

The LRAC Fellowship is $5,000 given to recognize, reward & encourage an outstanding individual artist living in the LRAC nine-county region. The 2024 Fellowship is open to music and visual arts disciplines, and the 2025 Fellowship will be open to literary and performance disciplines.


Legacy Individual Grant:

The Legacy Individual Grant provides up to $6,000 to individual artists in the LRAC nine-county region, to increase Arts Access, Arts Learning and Arts and Cultural Heritage opportunities for all Minnesotans.
