That’s right! Spring Legacy Grants for 2022 have reached new heights
LRAC will set new records at its April Spring Legacy Grant reviews! After receiving feedback in 2021 from artists and organizations regarding the need for funding to aid in recovery after the devastating effects of COVID-19, LRAC responded by raising the funding level for the Spring 2022 Legacy Grants to a record high of $217,788.
The deadline to apply for Spring Legacy Grants has since passed and LRAC received a record-breaking number of requests totaling in $498,628.
Difficult Decisions for the LRAC Board
Because the amounts requested greatly exceed what is available, the Board is very aware that many wonderful projects that will be approved for funding will not be funded.
Facing the difficult task of reviewing and recommending grants for funding, LRAC intends to divide these requests into different rounds. This way, the Board can ensure that all projects will be carefully considered and given a fair evaluation before any grants are awarded.
More information on this will be announced after the upcoming grant review on Tuesday, March 15th.
