Melanie Scott is joining the LRAC Board, representing Wilking County, for a one year term. Melanie lives in Breckenridge and has experience on other Boards and working with youth.

When asked to describe her background she said, “I am a peer support specialist for a nonprofit based in Eagle Bend, MN. I have a personal interest in the arts. I am exploring the world of acrylic pour painting and homeschooling my 9th grade daughter, who is interested in the performing arts. I am currently working on my Associates in Business Marketing and Management at MN State in Fergus Falls.

Melanie said her reason for joining the Board was, “I only recently discovered the existence of the Arts Council and wanted to know more about it and learning more about the grant process.”
