Lake Region Arts Council awarded seven Career Development Grants totaling $12,000 in May. The Career Development Grants are funded by a grant from Lake Region Arts Council through McKnight Foundation funding.
One of nine artists funded in FY22 for an LRAC Individual Legacy Grant, Deb Anderson celebrates signs of hope in her exhibit, “Foraging for Hope: A Photo Encaustic Narrative” at Alomere Hospital in Alexandria, Minnesota.
Based on feedback from previous grant applicants, the LRAC Board recently reviewed and refined language regarding the “Need for a Project” portion in the grant application process. By doing this, LRAC hopes to make an even greater impact on the way awarded grants benefit their communities.
LRAC’s Arts Mentorship Program is extending eligibility requirements in FY23 to include students interested in participating in the program who are currently in grades 8-12. The number of students that will be awarded a spot in the mentorship has also been increased from 14 to 17 students.
