Why Advocacy is important to the Arts:

The Lake Region Arts Council depends on an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature to fund most of the grants and services we provide to regional artists and arts organizations. Without these funds the Lake Region Arts Council would not be able to operate.

Therefore, it is vital that LRAC participates in arts advocacy at the local, state and national level. We strive to keep the relationship strong between legislators and the people of the region who enthusiastically support the arts.

We continue to provide the latest updates concerning legislation and the arts, links to other arts advocacy websites and provide you with quick and easy ways to contact your legislators and to tell them how important their support of the arts are to their communities.
